Lifeguard and Supervisor applicants must have a valid First Aid, CPR, and NLS certification for the duration of their employment. Please visit www.lifesavingsociety.com for information on NLS courses and recertification dates.

Aquatic Supervisor

The main responsibility of a Aquatic Supervisor is to train and mentor a team of lifeguard personnel in pool operations and maintenance duties using established training checklists, reference manuals, and ensuring they follow the proper operating procedures for maintaining the safety of the swimmers.

  • Must be at least 19 years of age or older
  • Must have a valid NLS and CPR/First Aid certificate.
  • Two or more years Lifeguard experience
  • Must have a valid driver’s licence and a vehicle

 
Full time positions are available for the summer season, beginning the end of April and continuing through to the Labour Day weekend. Our pools are open 7 days a week and the Supervisor’s hours vary. A Weekend On Call schedule is set up at the beginning of the season giving you every other weekend off.

Pool Maintenance Staff

The main duty and responsibility of a Pool Maintenance staff is to clean and attend to pools that are not staffed with lifeguards. Their duties include: daily pool opening and closing, checking and balancing chemicals, vacuuming and cleaning the pool, completing daily duties reports, ensuring pool equipment is in good repair. This is not a NLS certified position.

  • Applicants with past lifeguard and/or water chemistry experience is an asset.

Lifeguard

It’s sunny work with lots of hours and you’ll earn good money during the summer. You will also gain great work experience to add to your resume!

The main duty and responsibility of the lifeguard is to maintain order while the residents and their guests are in the water ensuring their safety at all times. The secondary duties of the lifeguard include monitoring the pool facilities for potential hazards or unsafe conditions, enforcing pool facility rules, checking and balancing chemicals, completing daily report forms, vacuuming and cleaning the facility, and interacting with the residents in a polite and respectful manner. 

  • Must be at least 16 years of age
  • Must have valid NLS certificate
  • Must have valid First Aid certificate
  • Must have valid CPR certificate


Full time and Part time positions are available for the summer season, beginning in May and continuing through to the Labour Day weekend. Our pools are open 7 days a week and the hours vary from 9AM to 9PM. Lifeguards are partnered with another lifeguard and weekly schedules average between 35 - 40 hours per week with every other weekend off.

Recreation Management

Service Technician

The position requires someone who prefers to work mostly outside and is fueled by freedom, troubleshooting and diagnosing pool problems. 

The main duty and responsibility of a service technician is to diagnose and repair swimming pool equipment, plumbing equipment, repair or replace motors, pumps and filters. Also opening and closing (winterizing), painting, minor tile repairs, etc. for outdoor pools. Other responsibilities include accurate and timely documentation of all pool services performed; including completing all required forms and checklists. Complete service schedules in efficient and time conscience manner and execute and perform service calls with minimal call backs.

  • Must have a High School diploma
  • Must have at least 2 years’ experience in the pool & spa industry 
  • Must be experience with swimming pool plumbing, pumps, filters and valve systems
  • CPO certification 
  • Excellent hands-on problem-solving skills
  • Driven, self-motivated individual
  • Resourceful, tech savvy and mechanically inclined
  • Ability to work independently as well as be a team player
  • Excellent organizational and inventory skills
  • Clean driving record
